Hike, Hike, Hike

We ended our day in the desert by heading to the Catalina National Park and hiking one of the trails. The sunset in the desert was nice, but they aren't kidding when they say the temperature plummets at night in the desert. Again I was caught off guard. The last chunk of walk was a bit painful. Also alarming were the constant signs along teaching us about the wild desert animals. It was more educational than warning, but I didn't need to read about the mountain lion or bobcat while a mile into the desert at dusk. I was already on vigilante coyote patrol. Needless to say, we survived.
